The Flashback concept was created for woodstock.com on the 30th anniversary of Woodstock in 1999. The original audio was produced by Flow Communications for nationally syndicated Woodstock Flashback radio features first broadcast on the 25th Anniversary in 1994.

This example of the sizzle that audio-driven rich media content adds to the web takes one of our original 90 second audio features and transforms it, with a little help from our friends at datatv.com, into a Macromedia Flash movie. It even includes an interactive game. These fun and historic audio features, hosted by Wavy Gravy, include interviews of Woodstock '69 artists and were both syndicated nationally on radio and streamed at the official Woodstock site. The 21 audio Flashbacks, together with our Jefferson Airplane Flashmovie and it's "pre-loader" quiz, continue to be featured rich media content on the "streaming media" and "games" page of woodstock.com.

Woodstock.com won the prestigious 2000 Midemnet Award for "BEST FESTIVAL AND EVENT WEBSITE".
